The GOOD NEWS is that God loves you and offers you the best of life both now and in eternity! ("For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16) The only problem is that we naturally choose our own way over God's--the Bible call this "sin"--and this keeps us from trusting God or living up to his standards. ("For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23) As a result of sin, we are separated from God--spiritually dead.

God's answer for our sin problem is the sacrificial death of Jesus, his Son, who paid the penalty of our sin and offers us a way to be right in our relationship with God the Father. ("For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23) And not only did Jesus' death pay the penalty for our sin, but his resurrection showed God's power to help us overcome sin's grip on our lives. By depending on Him daily we can experience the full life and freedom from sin that He has always intended. Now that's GOOD NEWS!
